Ihram

Frequently Asked Umrah Questions
Direct answers to the most common questions asked by pilgrims traveling from the UK and worldwide.
Can I wear Ihram on the flight from the UK?
Yes. If your flight arrives in Jeddah directly, the aircraft crosses the Meeqat boundary approximately 30 minutes before landing. It is best to wear your two towels at the airport departure lounge or at home, and make your intention in the air when the flight captain announces approaching the Meeqat.
What if I accidentally use scented soap while in Ihram?
If done out of genuine forgetfulness or ignorance, immediately wash away the scent upon remembering. According to the consensus of scholars, forgetful violations do not incur sin or penalty, but one must cease the prohibited action immediately.
How do I book a slot for the Rawdah Shareef in Madinah?
Entering the Rawdah Shareef requires a verified permit booked via the official Saudi Nusuk mobile application. Permits are typically released on Fridays at 12:00 PM (Saudi Time). Each pilgrim is permitted one Rawdah visit every 365 days.
